![]() ![]() We already have installed MySQL, just set the sql_mode = NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION using MySQL configuration file. Set MySQL- sql_mode = NO_ENGINE_SUBSTITUTION Well, we have added the repository to get the latest version of ZoneMinder, now can easily use the APT package manager to install it with all required dependencies. Install ZoneMinder on Ubuntu 22.04 | 20.04 Once you have added the repository, run the system update command: sudo apt update & sudo apt upgradeĤ. Syntax: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder- versionĮxample: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:iconnor/zoneminder-1.36 Use that version with the above PPA repo to add the same. To get the latest version use its PPA, available on launchpad. However, the version from the official repository will not be the latest one. Well, the best thing is the ZoneMinder is available to install using the APT package manager and base repository of both Ubuntu 20.04 and 22.04, hence we can run a single command to get it. To check status sudo systemctl status apache2 mysqlĤ. Systemctl -user mask rvice rvice rvice rvice rvice tracker-writeback.Sudo systemctl enable -now apache2 mysql In my case user id is 999 (I think this is pihole default user id) Initialise XDG_RUNTIME_DIR variable in order to run systemctl ( systemctl failed to connect to bus - docker ubuntu:16.04 container) These are the steps I have followed to mask tracker services for pihole userĬreate pihole's home directore and give pihole a shell. I think the main problem is that /home/pihole dir doesn't exists, and since pihole default shell is "nologin" you can't execute sudo for user and mask the services. Then editing user-dirs.dirs to modify the path names:Īny thoughts on how to address this on a relatively new and clean Ubuntu desktop install? cat /var/log/syslog | grep tracker: I tried to fix the XDG user directory location by running Systemctl -user mask rvice rvice rvice rvice rvice rvice I’ve looked around at disabling these services, but haven’t found anything that works yet, including trying to mask them via: But at a minimum I’d like to decrease the verbosity so I don’t see all of these errors. I don’t really care if the tracker runs, although I don’t think I’m actually using it at all. I’ve noticed that I’m getting this set of tracker-miner related errors in syslog about twice a minute. It’s Ubuntu desktop, but I’m basically running it headless. New install of 20.04.1 running only pi.hole and unifi controller software. ![]()
